The Carmel Downtown Food Tour is a three-hour, guided tour of Carmel's most interesting attractions, and offers food tastings from seven unique eateries coupled with insightful presentations of Carmel's cultural, historical, and architectural highlights provided by knowledgeable and entertaining local guides. The 1.2 mile tour is suitable for all fitness levels, open to all children, but is most appropriate for ages thirteen and up. Whether you are an occasional visitor or a resident, the walking tour is the perfect way to get to know the culture, sights and foods of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Iconic comedian Louie Anderson, three-time Emmy Award winner, is one of the country's most recognized and adored comics, with a career spanning more than 30 years. Named by Comedy Central as "One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time," he is also a best-selling author, star of his own standup specials and sitcoms, and he continues to tour the country performing to standing-room-only crowds worldwide. In 2016 Anderson was cast to co-star along with Zach Galifianakis and Martha Kelly in the hit FX comedy series Baskets. Anderson plays the extraordinary role of Christine, the matriarch of the Baskets clan. He based the character on his mother and his five sisters who were all a major presence in his life. Anderson won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Christine Baskets in 2016. When not in production, Louie continues to tour, traveling the States doing what he loves to do, delivering to his fans his inimitable brand of humor and warmth.

One of the most iconic and significant plays of the 20th Century, Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot is also one of his funniest and most immediate creations. Drawing endless interpretations, it crackles with deadpan wit and linguistic invention, as well as offering compelling glimpses into our existential absurdity.
Carmel Art Festival
**  26th Annual Carmel Art Festival & Sculpture in the Park **
May 17-19
Combining plein-air painting and live sculpting with exhibits, sales and lots of live music, the Carmel Art Festival takes over Devendorf Park for three days. Artists create their exhibition paintings outdoors on Wednesday and Thursday all around the Monterey Peninsula, bringing them to Devendorf Park on Friday afternoon for judging. The public can view and purchase these and other newly created paintings through Sunday. Weekend events also include Sculpture-in-the-Park, Kids-make-art day, and live music each day. On Sunday morning, winning artists engage in a Quick Draw competition with the results being sold via Silent Auction.
